Electronic devices store most of our thoughts, memories, and emotions in the digital age. Especially for private content like personal diaries, ensuring that only the owner can access it is crucial. This is where encryption plays a key role.
Encryption is the process of converting data into a coded format to prevent unauthorized access. When data is encrypted, it becomes unreadable without the correct decryption key.
In personal diary applications, encryption ensures that:

You can think of encryption as a digital safe that only someone with the correct key can open and read what’s inside. That’s why encryption has become an essential security standard for applications that store personal data.
A seed phrase is a sequence of characters that acts as the decryption key to access encrypted diary content.
When encryption is enabled, diary entries are encrypted before being stored. To read them again, users must use the exact seed phrase they created. Therefore, the seed phrase becomes the most important factor in maintaining access to your data.
For any seed phrase, this is the only way to access encrypted content. Therefore:

Following these principles ensures that your seed phrase is strong enough to protect your personal data.
MemoirME integrates encryption as a key security feature to help users protect their personal diary content. To use encryption, follow these steps:
First, users need to subscribe to the encryption plan within the app. Once activated, the feature will be available in the Privacy Settings section.
When enabling encryption for the first time, users must create a seed phrase that meets the following requirements:
Includes at least one special characterIn Privacy Settings, users can turn on encryption to start protecting their diary entries.
Examples of valid seed phrases include: MemoirME_1234; Nhatky@2026
After creating Seedphrase, you can also enable Biometric access to conveniently access your Encrypted diaries.
Go to Settings => Privacy to enable Biometric access.
Encryption is highly secure, and one of its key characteristics is that lost seed phrases cannot be recovered.
In practice, if a user forgets their seed phrase, the app allows them to create a new one. However, this will overwrite the old seed phrase. As a result, any diary entries encrypted with the old seed phrase will no longer be accessible.
This also means that the new seed phrase will only apply to entries created afterward, ensuring that only the person who holds the current seed phrase can access the encrypted content.
For this reason, users should store their seed phrase in a safe place from the very beginning, such as a password manager or a secure personal note.
With MemoirME, encryption creates a safe journaling space where only you can access and read your entries. Enable encryption and set up a secure seed phrase with MemoirME to better protect your personal memories and thoughts in the digital world.
